The Spanish
seaboard is over 4,000 kilometers
long, washed by the waters of the
Mediterranean sea (on the eastern
and southern flanks), the bay of
Biscay (to the north) and the
Atlantic ocean (along the west and
south). Spain has more than three
hundred days of sunshine per year,
average temperatures being 18° C -
30° C (64° F - 86° F). Its beautiful
sunlit beaches receive millions of
tourists each year from all over the
world.
Costa
Calida Beaches
The Costa Calida extends along 250km
from the beach of Carolina in
Aguilas, a few kilometers from the
province of Almeria, to the beach at
El Mojon on the boundary with
Alicante. This stretch of Murcian
coastline is blessed with 315 days
of sunshine a year and an average
temperature of 17 degrees. The area
offers a diverse selection of
activities for the visitor including
all manner of water sports, hiking,
hill-climbing and much more. Quite
simply the 'Warm Coast' lives up to
its name.
This is a
small fishermen village where during
sunny days lots of local people come
to the beaches to enjoy the water.
The beaches are not very long
because of the many small bays. The
water in these bays is very clean
and clear. The sandy beaches are
also very clean and they offer a
wide range of water sports like
diving and snorkeling. At the beach
there are many kiosks located where
cold drinks and delicacies can be
bought.
Mazarrón
This place has various small rocky
bays with small sand beaches. The
beaches as well as the water are
very clean. The beaches are very
suitable to practice many kinds of
water sport such as sailing and
windsurfing. The rock bottom in
combination with its fauna make this
place very popular for divers. There
are several kiosks for cold drinks
and snacks and for the rent of
parasols and sun beds. Furthermore a
baywatch is present.

Cartagena
This is a city with an important
port. Because of this important
harbor character there is a lot of
industry that makes this piece of
coast less attractive for beach
visit.
Calblanque
This is a nature park that is
protected by Enesco that also has
four beautiful sandy beaches.
Because of the protected character
there are no facilities (water sport
and kiosks) available. Extremely
suitable for beach walks or
bird-watchers.
Mar
Menor
This is a large inland sea of about
170 square kilometers. The coastline
is more than 70 km long and
accommodates many nice villages as
San Pedro del Pinatar, Los Alcazares,
Islas Menores and Playa Honda.
A warm wind in combination with the
little depth of the water results in
a pleasant temperature of the water
(about 4 degrees higher than the
water of the Mediterranean). It is
already in the preseason pleasant of
temperature. These circumstances
make the Mar Menor very popular to
practice a wide range of water
sports. On all beaches along the Mar
Menor all facilities regarding water
sports are present: rental of
equipment and classes.
The Mar Menor has many beautiful
beaches with water of very little
depth which are not yet crowded by
the mass tourism. Along the entire
coastline there are rental
possibilities for parasols and sun
beds, kiosks for refreshments and
fast-food and at walking distance
restaurants of different classes.
La
Manga
The Mar Menor is divided from the
Mediterranean by a spit of land of
22 kilometers' long, called La Manga
del Mar Menor. The sandy beaches
along this spit are between 100 and
800 meters wide and have clear
waters. These circumstances make La
Manga a paradise between two seas.
At these beaches are many nautical
clubs located where all possible
water's sport can be practiced. The
beaches are very busy with several
kiosks and beach stands.
San
Pedro del Pinatar
This village has a long and popular
beach which is, because of its size,
still very tranquil. There are no
facilities like kiosks and rental of
water sport equipment, only a
lifeguard is present.
Costa
Blanca Beaches
Much of your Costa Blanca holiday
will be spent on the beaches - and
there are hundreds of them. Some
slope gently and are thronged with
people; others are tucked away in
coves beneath spectacular cliffs,
assuring all the privacy and
tranquility of a desert island. Like
resorts elsewhere in the
Mediterranean, those on the Costa
Blanca have no lifeguards. There are
Red Cross offices on the most
popular beaches, but other than
that, you're on your own. Normal
precautions apply here as elsewhere.
On the

relax on the beautiful sandy

Costa
Blanca Beaches, are one of the most
famous tourist areas right on the
Mediterranean sea. The white coast
is also famous for its well looked
after sandy beaches and numerous
possibilities to relax and unwind.
Many beaches here on the Costa
Blanca carry the Blue Flag for his
clean waters and beaches.
Guardamar del Segura Beaches
The beaches at Guardamar del Segura
are some of the best on the Costa
Blanca. There are eight beaches in
total which extend to almost 14
kilometres. From north to south, the
beaches of Guardamar are Los Tusales
(the naturist beach), Los Viveros,
De la Babilňnia, Playa Centro, La
Roqueta, El Moncayo, Playa del Campo
and Les Ortigues. One thing they all
have in common though is their high
quality sand, their length and the
background of dunes planted with
pines, eucalyptus and palm trees.
Although the beaches at Guardamar
are popular, compared to other parts
of the coast overcrowding is not
really an issue here. The beaches
are all fairly deep, leaving space
for everyone to enjoy the warmth of
the Costa Blanca sunshine whatever
the time of year.
Sun beds are available in most
places and the Guardamar beaches are
cleaned on a daily basis so you
should find them in pristine
condition throughout the year.
Lifeguards are also present
throughout the summer months. On the
central beaches such as Playa Centro
and La Roqueta you will find extra
facilities such as water sports.
There are also some small beach bars
present, making the beach a nice
place to go for a quiet drink on the
warm evenings.
Torrevieja Beaches
Torrevieja Beaches, The fine white
sand of Torrevieja beaches is one of
the main attractions for tourists,
as well as the calmness of the
waters. The warm Mediterranean Sea
is crystal clear and calm and most
beaches provide entertainment areas
for children, volleyball fields,
water slides, showers and cafes
along the promenades for
refreshments. Sun loungers and
umbrellas are available to hire for
a small fee. In the area you also
will find Aqua Parks.
- Rocio del Mar Beach is also called
Cala de las Piteras. It is located
in the south zone, at the end of
Orihuela, in a semi urban zone. You
will find this cove surrounded by
rocks.
The most typical of Cala Ferri Beach
is his calmness, his clean and
crystalline waters, and his
environment surrounded with dunes,
abundant vegetation and palm trees.
- Playa de los Naufragos has a semi
urban aspect, it shows a few clean
waters and a thin sand of an almost
white color. The beach is always
good visited. It has every service a
beach can have.
- Playa del Acequion beach is
located inside the Club Nautico de
Torrevieja , close to the Torrevieja
Marina Internacional. placed one
kilometre away from Salt works of
Torrevieja.
- Playa del Cura beach is one of the
most popular since it has games for
childrens, showers, rent of hammocks
and service of alertness of the Red
Cross. It possesses the Blue Flag.
- Cala Palangre don't has barely
services, though it is a cove of
limited size, it has in his
precincts, a very much visited area
with rocks where people goes
fishing. It is very close to Playa
del Cura.
- Los Locos beach has the Blue Flag.
This is one of the beaches that gets
more crowded during the summer. Los
Locos Beach has all kinds of
services. It is watched to ensure
their safety.
- Cala del Mojon Beach is a wide
cove, made of fine sand, with rocks,
ideal for practicing fishing. The
beach itself don´t offer so many
services except the basic ones.
- Playa La Mata has long beautiful
shores, ideal for sports
competitions, especially in August.
And nearby is the the Cabo Cervera,
a sandy beach equipped with showers.
- Torrelamata Beach has many
attractions for diving and the
practice of nautical sports.
Torrelamata beach is a beach that
has very many services, ideal for
the family. This beach has the Blue
Flag.
Valencia Beaches
Valencia and his beaches are a
favored tourist place in Spain.
Bathed by the Mediterranean Sea, his
sunny coasts have warm temperatures
during the whole year. Valencia is
known as the City of the Light,
2.600 hours of light that the Sun
illuminates every year justify much
more.
Denia
Beaches
Denia has almost twenty kilometers
of coastline. To the north of the
town, there are beaches of fine sand
and shallow waters. To the south lie
a series of small coves along the
rocky coast, known as Les Rotes,
which is a paradise for fishermen
and divers. The town sits at the
foot of a hill.
Javea
Beaches
The Arenal beach area is the
commercial and tourist part of Javea
.The beautiful, sandy bay is planted
with palm trees and has play areas

Benidorm Beaches

Villajoyosa Beaches
There is a fishing harbour and the
local restaurants serve up some of
the best seafood on the coast. The
beach is second only to Benidorm,
but is less crowded. Villajoyosa is

fiestas in the region. Villajoyosa
is the historical and administrative
capital of the Marina Baixa.
Alicante Beaches
It's best to start exploring
Alicante on the beachfront, along
the city's main pedestrian walkway,
the Expanada de Espana. Spread out

stretching around the harbour, is

Calpe
